We are looking for a strong web developer for Morgan Stanley's mobile development team. The team is a critical part of firm?s global mobile strategy of switching mobile platform from old BlackBerry to mainstream iOS/Android for our business/employees/clients. We build and support a variety of systems, tools and middleware to enable this new mobile offering, including provisioning, reporting, licensing, monitoring. More importantly, we develop and also help other MS IT teams developing mobile client applications on iOS and Android platform, mainly via the hybrid architecture, a combination of mobile OS native and web technologies such as Javascript/HTML5. We are responsible for the full software life cycle of these systems and applications.

The candidate will be mainly responsible for designing, developing, and testing web-based mobile applications via popular frameworks such as AngularJS, Ionic, Grunt, Cordova and HTML/CSS. It's preferred that the candidate is also familiar with developing web services for mobile applications using Java and Spring framework, along with the tomcat server where services to be deployed and databases that services interact with.*LI-AW1


Strong technical background in software development, with basic knowledge of relational database/SQL, tomcat, http protocols, RESTful services, etc
(Web Development) Experience on developing web applications based on populate JS frameworks such as AngularJS, Ionic, TypeScript, and HTML5/CSS (AngularJS 2/Ionic 2 are preferred)
Knowledge and experience on common software development practices, such as Agile and environment segregation

Knowledge or experience of building mobile apps via Apache Cordova platform
Knowledge or experience of building Java RESTful web services/APIs based on frameworks such as CXF or Spring Bonus

Knowledge or experience of Enterprise mobile management solutions such as MobileIron
Knowledge or experience of iOS/Android native development, via Objective-C, Swift and/or Java
