  • This role is part of FICC Production Services team IT team in Shanghai , supporting the TPS Cash Platform (Trade Processing System) for processing Bond/MBS Trade. The coverage includes all of ASPAC TPS users including  Trader, Sales, Middle Office, Back Office, Settlement, Risk/Position Team.
  • The successful candidate will be working closely with ASPAC business and DEV teams in Shanghai to ensure 12 x 5 supports of our applications. The ideal candidate should be technically astute, well organized, and proactive and be comfortable discussing issues with business and technical users at all levels.  They also need to possess great multitasking skills.
  • The support team work shifts during the day in order for the team to provide on-site cover between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm and take direct handover from New York and Toronto teams  . This allows the support team to cover both our users in ASPAC. The candidate must be willing to participate in the weekday rota and weekend support rota.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional Responsibilities:
  • Monitor all of Production environment servers (Application Servers and Database Servers) and take action to fix any health's issue.
  • Provide support for upstream and downstream team including Front Office, Back Office, Finance, PCG, Compliance, Global Confirmation. Provide the quick fix for the issue.
  • Support all aspects of Bond/MBS trade and risk flows including trader-sales matching, Analytical, Position Update. Provide the quick fix for the issue.
  • Start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover.
  • Perform T+0 risk reconciliations for the Rates Swaps desk
  • Analysis Global Regulatory Report and Position Break Report
  • Own and manage the incident response process. Must be able to escalate problems to appropriate technology and business teams, while adhering to Service Level Agreements
  • Develop and maintain technical support documentation
  • Act as a liaison between users/traders, Dev, various internal technology groups and vendors.
  • Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production.
  • Perform post release testing after application releases and infrastructure updates.


Essential Skills

Application Support
  • 2-3 years' experience working in a support environment
  • Experience supporting both Front and Middle Office users
  • Good SQL knowledge and practical usage. (Able to create ad hoc SQL queries)
  • Good Linux knowledge and practical usage. (Able to navigate the system and know the core administration functions)
  • Good Linux Shell knowledge and practical usage. (Able to create Bash/Ksh scripts)
  • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail
  • Strong team player
  • Programming Languages
  • Perl/Windows script, or Java language
  • Java knowledge and practical usage and familiar Spring Framework
  • Basic understanding of PCs & networking
  • Knowledge of derivatives trade workflow
  • Previous experience of electronic markets and straight through processing. 
  • Understanding of US Treasuries and Interest Rate Swaps, in particular risk calculations. 
  • Previous experience of providing support of Trade Capture and Risk Management systems and trader communities within Rates Flow and Derivatives 
  • Ability to communicate well verbally and written at all levels
