Scope of role:
To be one of the world's great service companies we need to transform infrastructure, so we run like a business, are easy to do business with and offer solutions that are agile, simple and swift.

The Infrastructure Transformation Program (ITP) has been established to achieve this aim. The ITP is a critical Program for Infrastructure employees and for Westpac Technology employees and partners. This entails a shift in technology, culture and communications as we bring to life the 'Customer Obsessed' and 'Service Revolution' propositions for the division, and help drive delivery of the Group-wide Digital Strategy.

Within the ITP, an Organisational Change Program has been established to develop 'platform as a service' cloud, and adapt our workforce to new technologies and capabilities, with an emphasis on managing composite services (as opposed to bespoke technology solutions). The Program will introduce a scalable integrated service delivery model and drive a customer service excellence focus in all elements of Infrastructure and Operations daily work.

Within the Organisational Change Program for ITP, the Senior Communications Manager reports to the Communications Direcgtor and is a member of the ITP delivery Team.

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for supporting realised benefits and sustainable outcomes of change initiatives through effective, compelling, and timely communications and engagement to all stakeholder groups. The role will work closely with Program Change Leads, key stakeholders, project streams, process and operating model owners and Business Service Managers, to ensure I&O customers are ready, willing and able, to consume end-to-end services provided by Infrastructure and Operations, and our teams are ready, willing and able to provide them.


  • Five to ten years' experience delivering organisation communicaitons in a corporate and/or matrix environment
  • Five + years' experience managing senior stakeholders, vendors, finances and delivering to project management methodologies
  • Knowledge and proven track record in managing end-to-end technology communications, including in a multi supplier environment, and particularly in relation to changes to technology infrastructure operating models will be well regarded.
  • Financial services industry experience desirable
  • Supperior written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proven capability in people management
