Strategic Intent

Data Capability is a strategic transformational team within the Decision Management (DM) department tasked with developing innovative capabilities for core Decision Management functions and in the process will have a bank wide product impact.  Core responsibilities will include:
  • Strong data governance, tenacity to drive consistent definition and quality across the bank and region.  Understanding of the regulatory and legal constrains under which we have to manage Citi data

  • To leverage systems and data sources to maximize our marketing and decision making effectiveness.  Actively working on data enrichment and enhancement processes both locally and regionally

  • Project support for Quarterly releases and Partner migrations / deployments, concentrating on streamlining the project deliverables into the existing BAU DM processes
  • Comprehensive understanding of our campaign management framework and marketing related analytics to help leverage tools and data assets developed locally and in region
  • Working with different parts of the business to drive novel uses of data to optimise and drive relevant communications, develop of reporting, tracking and tracing every interaction we have with customers to ensure that customers receive the most relevant communications based on the latest atomic information available

  • Working with Compliance, Control and Risk Management teams to ensure adherence to all Citi policies as it pertains to DM activity
Accountabilities
  • Offline databases: Support access databases in the interim and provide a solution to transition to online system functionality or a multi-person support model alleviating single person dependency
  • Entitlements Governance: Manage the entitlements governance framework within the Decision Management team to ensure adherence across multiple applications / infrastructures.  This component also includes the deployment of security matrices in line with the framework:
  • EDW - DataWareHouse
  • Campaign Palette - COPS / ECRM
  • Host Interface - Eclipse
  • Wintel - LAN
  • Unix - SAS Server / External delivery SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocols)
  • Process and Procedures (PnP): Manage the PnP governance framework within the Decision Management team to ensure monthly change management releases are adhered to
  • SAS Server Governance: Manage the usage governance framework within the Decision Management team to ensure infra capacity is aligned to usage
  • Release Management: Represent Decision Management on Consumer Technology Release Management Working Group to ensure COPS / EDW content is adequately managed for the associated releases.  This should cover all governance tasks related to the release along with the tactical review of the central test team test cases in line with local requirements.
  • Scheduled Jobs: Own and monitor the execution of Data Capability data layer assets to proactively manage availability and quality for Decision Management / Stakeholder activity
  • Asset registration and Governance: Ensure all Decision Management assets are registered with full ownership metrics attached
  • Asset dependency mapping: Put in place an asset tree hierarchy to maximise Decision Managements insight to team level data dependencies.  This should enable critical path failure points and associated remediations required
