An opportunity exists for a Custody Transitions Analyst to join a team responsible for the end-to-end custody process, including preparation and pre-analysis, pipeline management as well as processing and execution through to settlement and residual management of transition deals.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Transition analysis and execution of global cash and exchange traded securities
  • Analyse client asset lists including asset, corporate action and income analysis
  • Intraday support to third party transition managers for all aspects relating to the custody service model
  • Prepare and manage static data records on core custody systems for assets and counterparties
  • Ownership and exchange of standard settlement instructions for various transitions with third parties
  • Maintain relationships with clients and third-party transition managers during a the transition phase
  • Process client instructions onto core custody platform and monitoring of outbound agent swifts
  • Reconcile between client data and assets input into JPM systems
  • Management of client onboarding and exit
  • Produce status reports for internal/external stakeholders
  • Respond to client inquires and requirements in a timely and efficient manner

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business, Finance)
  • At least three years of relevant experience within transitions, custody/securities and/or settlements
  • Advanced understanding of global settlement of securities and cash
  • Understanding of custody processes and the trade lifecycle
  • Client facing skills and basic project management
  • Proven client management skills (internal and external)
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
  • Ability to assess risk associated with enquiries and demonstrated strategic thinking and planning skills
