Business Data Manager - Payments and Insitutional Products

We are seeking to appoint a Business Data Manager into our Business Performance and Analytics business. The role is located in the central business district of Sydney and will cover our Payments and Institutional Products portfolios.

Required Experience, Capabilities and Attributes:

  • Data Management is essential
  • Data Governance is essential
  • Project Management skills (end-to-end) is required
  • Either Fraud or Payments experience is essential , a good understanding of different payment types would be a bonus (Credit Card, Cheque, Merchant Terminals, Online Payments, NPP (New Payments Platform)
  • Institutional banking products would be a bonus
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Delivering to a structured framework is essential
  • Process oriented
  • Must be able to integrate well with Product Managers and Software Developers so an understanding of technology is essential

The main objectives of the role are to:
  • Ensure data domains' compliance with the Group's data management policies and standards
  • Supports development of policies and standards to ensure that data are acceptable and accurate in the applicable business area
  • Maintain business definitions of critical data elements and proposes new attribute requirements
  • Support Business Data Managers in the monitoring and reporting of data quality
  • Support Business Data Managers in ensuring change projects comply with relevant core data requirements
  • Proactively promote adherence to Group information management policies
  • Support appropriate business participation in the development of data requirements in projects
  • Support coordination efforts of Business Data Managers to employ consistent enterprise data management policies, procedures, governance, tools and methodologies
  • Support the management of the data issues registers and identifying data issues remediation pathways

The Business Data Manager will support data domain portfolios and be responsible for ensuring internal and regulatory compliance of business domain data, with the objective of delivering uplift in capability for those portfolios.
