Head of Quantitative Solutions

Shape and enhance Cbus' quantitative solutions capability, and in doing so, improve portfolio outcomes.

Cbus' highly successful Investment Team is growing rapidly, reflecting the implementation of an enhanced investment approach.  Cbus is in the process of expanding its Portfolio Design Team to include a Head of Quantitative Solutions.   This will be a senior position reporting to the Portfolio Head, Asset Allocation.  While this role requires strong quantitative skills, exceptional people management skills are also essential, as the successful candidate will provide management oversight and strategic direction to Cbus' Quantitative Solutions Team. 

This role offers considerable scope for the successful candidate to shape and enhance Cbus' quantitative solutions capability, and in doing so, improve portfolio outcomes. The person in this role will drive Cbus' quantitative research agenda, while ensuring it anticipates and aligns with the needs of the broader Investment Team.

The candidate will require deep quantitative technical expertise as well as investment experience. Experience using software packages such as Python, R or MATLAB is required. A high level of ability to translate quantitative methods into practical applications is paramount. As such, a pragmatic and outcomes orientated approach is essential.
