We currently have a full time 6 month maximum term opportunity for an Integration / TIBCO Business Works Developer to join QIC’s Operations and Technology team in Brisbane. The core focus of the role will be to support QIC’s business units and projects by providing analysis, software design, software development, integration and system support services.

The opportunity

We currently have a full time 6 month maximum term opportunity for an Integration / TIBCO Business Works Developer to join QIC’s Operations and Technology team in Brisbane. The core focus of the role will be to support QIC’s business units and projects by providing analysis, software design, software development, integration and system support services.

The key accountabilities are not limited to but include:

  • Analyse the business process requirements and compile documented technical specifications
  • Define the architectural components of the solution in line with QIC system architecture and in consultation with the Solution Architect
  • Write and maintain program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality standards
  • Testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors and faults in applications programming languages within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification
  • Identify and resolve system development defects where encountered, including liaising with external providers and keeping stakeholders appropriately informed of progress and expected resolution timeframes
  • Effectively engage with clients to understand their requirements or issues
  • Conduct peer reviews for application design, coding and adherence to QIC’s standards, procedures and methodologies

The ideal candidate

As a successful candidate, you will have at least 3 years’ experience in an Applications Development role, with a focus on system integration – using the TIBCO Business Works product.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated skill and experience in Integration - TIBCO Enterprise Application Integration software suite (Business works and experience in designing and building Business Works applications targeting superior performance and throughput will be highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in Integration - Extract Transform Load (ETL) tools, ideally in environments with multiple data sources
  • Demonstrated substantial understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • An understanding of Service Oriented Architecture principles including Web Services
  • Excellent client service skills, utilising well developed written and verbal communication skills, and applying good stakeholder management abilities
  • High level of personal integrity and discipline
  • High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with business units and ITF staff to deliver highly effective business systems solution
